Chetan Daga

Chetan Daga is the co-founder of the AdvantEdge Group, based in Pune, India. He leverages over a decade of experience in matters related to taxation and business advisory. He specializes in tax advisory and representation, transaction advisory services, CFO services and conciliation services. His legal research, interpretation and drafting skills bring a unique AdvantEdge to the Group.

 

Chetan has handled multiple notable engagements in his career and his experience spans multiple industries such as Information Technology, Manufacturing, Investment Advisory and Not-for-profits. He was associated with the World Bank on “Ease of Doing Business” surveys. He has also trained many professionals and students on international tax and transfer pricing. Additionally, Chetan has authored a book titled, “Fundamentals of International Tax and Transfer Pricing - an Indian Perspective,” and co-authored a book titled, “FAQ on TDS Procedures.” He is also a regular speaker on professional matters at the ICAI and Chambers of Commerce.

Chetan holds a master’s degree in commerce from University of Pune (now called 'Savitribai Phule Pune University). He is a Chartered Accountant, with the distinction of securing All-India 3rd rank and All-India 27th rank in his CA examinations. He has completed a certificate course in international taxation from the University of Leiden, The Netherlands. He has also completed a certificate course in indirect taxes from the ICAI. Recently, he has been interviewed by the OECD for the Global project on Social and Solidarity Economy.  His views on tax matters are regularly sought by leading financial newspapers.

Chetan has served as a member of the Direct Tax Committee and Professional Development Committee of the Western India Regional Council of ICAI.
